SSDI payment schedule with direct deposits of up to $3,822 through December 31, 2024

Whether you already receive SSDI payments or will start getting them soon, it’s important to know about the final direct deposits for 2024.

Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) provides monthly payments to eligible Americans with disabilities. The next payment date is August 21 for many people.

If you receive Disability Insurance but didn’t qualify for the payments on August 2 and August 14, and your birthday falls between the 11th and 20th of the month, then August 21 will be your payday. The final payday for August will be on the 28th for those whose birthdays are from the 21st to the 31st.

SSDI payments in September and October

If you started receiving SSDI before May 1997, you’ll get your payments on September 3 and October 3. If you also receive SSI (Supplemental Security Income), you’ll get your payment on the same days: September 3 and October 3.

If you receive SSDI but didn’t start before May 1997, you’ll get your payment on the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays of each month.

Here’s the schedule for Social Security payments based on your birth date:

  • September 11 and October 9: For those born from the 1st to the 10th.
  • September 18 and October 16: For those born from the 11th to the 20th.
  • September 25 and October 23: For those born from the 21st to the 31st.

SSDI payments in November and December

For SSDI recipients who started before May 1997, your payments will be on November 1 and December 1. If you also get SSI, you’ll receive it on those same days.

If you receive Disability Insurance, your payments will be:

  • November 13 and December 11: For those born from the 1st to the 10th.
  • November 20 and December 18: For those born from the 11th to the 20th.
  • November 27 and December 25: For those born from the 21st to the 31st.

On average, SSDI payments are about $1,538. If you’ve worked the maximum number of years and paid into Social Security, you might receive up to $3,822. If your payment is low, you might qualify for SSI or SNAP benefits.
